Metrological and metallurgical investigations
3D optical measurement
Recently, components have increasingly been measured purely optically using their 3D contour. This is not only to be seen as holistic quality control, but also saves time and detects problem areas that are often overlooked with purely tactile measurements and predefined measurement criteria. We carry out optical measurements with Zeiss and GOM, as well as with Wenzel for the white light point measurement of polished surfaces.
Tactile measurement
Particularly in the automotive industry and in the powertrain segment, tactile measurement of surfaces and geometry has become the standard. WEBO works here with its close partner Zeiss. The measurement of special gears and geometry is a particular specialty of WEBO.
Reverse engineering
The data feedback of modified tool elements or components is becoming increasingly important when it comes to the digital capture of geometry and its implementation in further developments. What WEBO has learned from the digital feedback of tool changes is often used in the area of reverse engineering for existing components whose drawings no longer exist.
